I am sorry that your vehicle didn’t pass. I can’t speak to what another shop may have passed previously, but we don’t bend the state rules. As we discussed when you were at the shop, you do have the right to speak with the State Trooper who oversees inspections and ask for an exception, and we gave you this direct contact information. If you are not happy with the results of the inspection, we recommend that you speak to the State Trooper who oversees Maryland Safety Inspections. With regard to installing the missing catalytic converter, we stand by the recommendation we already gave you, which was to not have us install an OEM exhaust, but rather, have an exhaust shop weld in only what is needed to be legal, which will be significantly less expensive.
